To help the Savannah River Ecology Laboratory, please urge your senators and congressional representatives to contact DOE Headquarters and request that DOE-HQ stop meddling in local DOE-SRS affairs.

Urge them to allow DOE-SR to release the funding to SREL to continue tasks agreed upon with SRS managers. The more people who express their concern, the more likely it is that action will be taken.

Contact the individuals listed below, write letters to newspapers, and inform anyone else you think should know. It is best to write a short letter that you can e-mail, surface mail, or fax. Then make a telephone call. Written correspondence and phoning is particularly effective! Calls to Secretary of Energy Samuel. W. Bodman (phone: 202/586-6210 or 1-800-342-5363), by law, must be logged and returned or answered. There is no such requirement for e-mail or letters. If you do place a call, you might first want to preview our talking points page.

Below we list people to contact in priority order:

1) South Carolina congressional representatives
2) Georgia & other representative and senators
3) DOE Officials
4) UGA Administrators
